Ancient Impossible episode Warrior Tech

In an episode of the History Channel's Ancient Impossible, they explored the concept of the 'Bulletproof Vest' that was made for Alexander the Great. It was made of Linothorax, which I found a Wikipedia entry for at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linothorax .

Mayhaps if the Linen used were 'weaved' from spidersilk instead.

It's something to start with, anyways.
