“Yuri?” Koki stepped through the front door and locked it behind him. “Are you awake?” He took off his shoes and walked into the small corridor that connected the genkan to the rest of the apartment.
It was late, the photoshoot had gone on longer than expected and although he was tired he wanted to talk to Yuri about this morning.
“Yuri?” He walked into the bedroom to see if she was already there but found no girl sleeping on the bed so he walked into the office to see if she might have fallen asleep on the couch like last night but she wasn't there either. “Where can she be?” He whispered to himself as he walked into the bathroom to get ready for bed, he was so tired he felt like a walking corpse so he just wanted to take a shower and brush his teeth before continuing his search for Yuri.
Yuri felt a hand running softly through her hair and slowly she opened her eyes to look up at her lovely boyfriend who was standing next to her with a tired smile on his face.
“Hey.” She sat up straight although she felt a little sick as she did. “Have you been home long?”
“Not really, just took a shower.” Koki ran a hand through his semi-long, blondish wet hair as he grinned a little. “You know, I've been wanting to ask you since this morning.” He sat down on the chair and looked her in the eyes, he seemed serious and it made Yuri's heart beat alarmingly fast.
“Are you okay?” Suddenly Yuri's throat felt dry and it was getting harder to breath. ”'Cause you've been looking kind of pale these last few days.” A headache was starting to accumulate again and her stomach started turning. “So I just wanted to ask you.... Yuri, is everything alright?” Koki looked at her with worried eyes as he realized that she started to look paler than before.
“Yeah.... I'm... I'm fine.” Yuri could hear her voice shaking, actually her entire body was shaking. She felt warm and freezing at the same time, she was frightened even though there wasn't really anything to be frightened about.
“No, sweety, you are not fine. We've got to get you to a hospital.” He stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder. “Come on, I'll drive.” His voice was calm even though he wasn't but Yuri was too messed up at the moment to realize that. She was just sitting there, shaking as the tears ran down her face.
When Koki didn't get any answer from his girlfriend, he picked her up and hurried down to the car before driving to the nearest hospital. He didn't know what was going on with Yuri but he knew that she needed help, professional help that he, no matter how much he loved her, couldn't give her so it was with a furiously beating heart that he hugged Yuri's hand hard as she was rolled into the hospital.
The girl had lost consciousness as soon as they had left the apartment so she didn't see the tears that trickled down the idol's face when he was forced to let go of her hand as the doctors took over and rolled her into a closed room where Koki couldn't follow.
“Please be safe baby.” He thought to himself as he stood alone in the ER, staff rushing past him to whatever patient was waiting for them and people around him crying and praying for their loved ones who they didn't know if they were ever going to see again. “Please come back to me.”

“Why are you calling me in the middle of the night?” Kame's tired voice was heard and for a second Koki felt guilty for calling that late but then he heard a familiar whine in the background.
“Kazu, who is that?” “Akanishi?”
“Shut up, Jin.” Kame whispered to the older and then went back to the phone. “So you were saying?”
“Umm, sorry if I'm disturbing the two of you...” Koki cleared his throat, he knew that Kame and Jin had been acting strange since Jin had come back from the US so it wasn't really that big of a surprise but it was still a little unexpected.
“What do you mean 'the two of us'? There's just me here.” Kame tried to lie but Koki was sure of what he had heard.
“Kame, I heard him, I know Jin is there with you. But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about, I just wanted to let you know that I won't be coming to work tomorrow....”
“Why? Did something happen?”
“What is he saying, Kazu?” Koki could almost see how Jin was clinging onto Kame's waist with a big pout on his face like he had used to do during his bakanishi days, before he had been suspended a.k.a gone to the US to study.
“Shut up, bakanishi. I can't hear.” Kame reprimanded and despite the circumstances Koki couldn't help but chuckle.
“I'm sorry, Koki. Just give me a minute and I'll go someplace quiet where I can talk.” Kame was hinting at Jin and Koki understood that the older had gotten it since he could hear whining as Kame walked out of the bedroom, Koki could only assume that they had been in the bedroom.
“There.” Kame closed the balcony-door and sat down on the chair next to it. “What is going on, Koki?”
“Yuri collapsed.”
“What?!” Kame stood up, he totally wasn't expecting that.
“It happened right after I came home, she started shaking and collapsed before I could get her to the hospital....” Koki brought a shaking hand through his hair. The bleached hair was starting to curl up again, he really needed to straight-perm it again if he wanted to maintain this current hairstyle that Yuri liked so much.... Yuri... Koki felt the tears run down his face again.
“But you're there now? Right?” Kame asked when Koki hadn't continued his sentence. He couldn't help but be worried, not only for Yuri's sake but for Koki's as well. He knew how much the girl meant to Koki and he was worried about his friend.
“Huh? Yeah. Yeah, we're here now.” His mind was so filled with thoughts he couldn't think straight. He needed to sit down... Badly.
“And how is she?” No answer. “Koki!” Still no answer. “Okay, you know what, that's it. I'm coming over there, what's the name of the hospital?”
Koki could hear a door being opened, Jin asking something he couldn't quite comprehend, the sound of clothes rustling and the sound of Kame answering Jin before running out of the apartment.
“God damn it, Koki! What's the name?!” The younger was screaming at him now, Kame rarely screamed at him but once he did Koki finally snapped out of it.
“Tokyo University Hospital.” His voice was nothing but a whisper now but it was loud enough for Kame to hear. He rushed down the stairs, the elevator just didn't seem fast enough, not stopping as he jumped in the car and started driving to the hospital, all the time talking to Koki to make sure the other stayed calm and to calm his own nerves as well, it was much easier to stay focused if he didn't have to worry about what Koki was doing.

“Excuse me, are you here for Takegami Yuri?” Koki looked up at the female doctor standing in front of him, she was short, skinny and had a kind smile on her face.
“Yes.” Koki stood up, he was almost 10 centimeters taller than she was. “How is she?”
“I would like to speak with you in private...” She nodded towards the sleeping Kame who had been using Koki's shoulder as a pillow. He had arrived about 30 minutes ago but when his yawning had been somewhat consistent for almost five minutes Koki had assured him that it was okay if he slept, him being there was support enough for him and besides, he would wake the younger up as soon as he knew anything about Yuri's condition.
“Why? Is it something serious?” Koki felt the panic rise in his chest but the woman just shook her head with a small smile.
“No, it's nothing serious. Just a little panic-attack.” The doctor motioned for him to follow her into a room where she asked him to sit down in one of the chairs before placing herself in front of him.
“Although Yuri-san is not in any danger now she really should try to avoid any kind of stress the next few months, another attack like this one could cause great damage to both her and the baby, not to mention the possibility of a miscarriage if things were to go really wrong.”
“Wait, wait, wait... Did you just say 'baby'?” Koki looked at the woman with confused eyes.
“Yes... I can only assume from your surprised reaction that she hasn't told you about her pregnancy.” The doctor said calmly and Koki nodded slowly.
Yuri was pregnant?

She felt sick, as if she wanted to throw up. She tried to turn around but her body didn't seem to have the energy. Where was she? Was all of this just another bad dream?
“Yuri?” A somewhat distant voice called her in the darkness.
Why was everything so dark? Was it night?
“Yuri? Sweetheart, can you hear me?” She recognized the voice but she couldn't place it.
“Yes, I can hear you.” She thought but the words never left her mouth.
“Baby, if you can hear me, open your eyes.” She felt a hand on her cheek. There was something familiar about that hand, if it was a hand, Yuri wasn't too sure.
Slowly, very slowly the girl opened her eyes, letting the light sip through her eyelids, temporarily blinding her but all the time she felt the warmth from the hand on her cheek, allowing her to take calm breaths until she was able to fully open her tired eyes.
“Yuri?” Now she remembered the voice, that soft voice that made her smile a faint smile. Koki. Koki was sitting there next to her, his warm hand on her cheek, softly guiding her back to him from the darkness.
“Um.” Her voice was weak but it didn't matter to Koki, he was just glad to hear it again.
“How are you feeling?” His thumb moved over her fair skin causing her to widen the smile, even if just a little.
“... Pretty good, but I've been better I suppose.” Her voice was tired and Koki couldn't blame her, it had been almost a year since she had had a panic-attack so she must have been really scared going through it again after such a long time. “... They told you, didn't they?” She asked, although somewhat hesitant, when she saw how his eyes unconsciously moved to her belly and a small smile planted on his face as they did.
“Yeah.” He jumped down from the bed where he had been sitting and placed himself on the chair next to the bed facing her as he did.
“So what do we do?” Yuri breathed, her heart was beating so fast she thought it would break. She blamed herself for what had happened, for having to put him through this...
“Well, I think the question here is: What do you want to do?” Yuri looked at him with confused eyes.
“What do you mean?” Koki smiled and squeezed her hand that he was holding in his.
“I mean that it's up to you. I have always wanted a family and even though it's a huge responsibility I would be more than willing to share it with you. But it's up to you, you're the mother, you're the one who has to go through most of the changes and you're an upcoming designer so if you think that this is a bad time I completely understand. Just know that I am with you all the way, whatever you want to do.” He reached up a hand to dry the tears that had fallen from Yuri's eyes, although he wanted this baby more than everything Yuri was the mother and it was all up to her, whatever decision she was going to make he was going to respect it.
“Do you really mean that? You're not just saying that because that's what I want to hear, right?” She sniveled and Koki chuckled a little before leaning in to kiss her lips softly.
“Since when do I ever say things that you want to hear?” He grinned and Yuri couldn't help but laugh at his comment.
“Yeah, I guess you're right.” She placed both of her arms around his neck and hugged him. She hadn't yet decided what she wanted to do but at least Koki knew and whatever happened he would be there to support her.
