Just so you don't think I'm really just a random person, let me preface this comment with an introduction. Hi, this is Craig's former roomate Heather
( ... )
How much do I understand you, let me count the ways... I understand what it means to be the person that people always come to when they need work done. Unfortunately, I have the opposite problem of you when it comes to letting people walk all over me. I tend to build up a huge wall that no one can really ever climb over. And then those few that I let climb over, then seem to walk all over me--I could even give you examples of people from Huron that have done that...which REALLY sucks...those people that are supposed to be your "real" friends...So, I can completely empathize with you...Know that I think you are wonderful and magnificent...I am sorry that I did not hang out with you more this summer...I wish that I would have had that opportunity, but I will fully take advantage of it this summer....Just realize that I understand senioritis and am completely in the same boat...I love you much and would give you a huge Texas hug if I were there in ole Amish country
I'm sorry to hear that stuff. Even though I only know you from one summer, I would much rather hang out with you and have a beer than ask you to build me something.
And I don't even drink!
You're a good man, don't let other people's selfishness get you down. Your friends will stick by you through all the crap, and if they don't, they aren't really your friends.
It hurts to care for people that don't seem to care for you, I know that feeling very well. Sometimes aloofness and taking-advantageness(um, stay with me here) stem from fear of losing a good friend. Not being there, I can't see whether that's the case or not. But Bobbert might be creating some distance because when you're all moving in different directions the easiest way to say goodbye is to say nothing at all. (amateur physchology mode: off).
Wherever you choose to go, I hope we can hang out the next time you visit the Minny Twinny.
