Question + pimp

I received an e-mail recently asking about the possibility of adding a search fascility to the site. Now I've had that type of request before but I've always assumed it would require a total overhaul and reformatting of the site. Is that right? Or is there an easy way to add it on to the site as it is now?

I'm not sure about it, but you might be able to incorporate some sort of internal google search into the site.
try looking at this: http://google.com/coop/docs/cse/faq.html
If you need more help, I'm willing to dig deeper

I've set up a google search thingie but I'm not sure it's particularly useful - but then I find alphabetical list far easier than most searches - I'll play around with it a little and maybe post a link on here and see if anyone finds it useful.

But thanks for the link.

How about http://www.picosearch.com or a google script.
If you want a search function that searches for certain fandoms (duh!, since they're all listen alphabetically already) or pairings, or number of chapters and the like, you probably need some sort of archiving software...

But a fulltext site search should be enough. I always found what I've been looking for by using google to search ralst.com :)

I've just done a google one - I'll post it in a bit - but I'll check out the other too. I still find the alphabeticl set up easier.
