Okay, I was going to stay away from the knocking incident, but here is what happened. I woke around 2 am, couldn't figure out why. Then a sharp knocking started on the wall. I couldn't figure what it was, and wondered if it were a ghost (yes, I'm like that). Then I heard some more human noises, then the knocking was at our door. I declined to answer at 2 am, and contemplated calling the front desk if there was more activity. There wasn't, so I let it go...and eventually fell back to sleep, though it took a while. It all made sense after Ralph encountered our rude neighbor.

This writeup does cover some of my favorite parts of the trip. Newgrange was really awesome to visit in the fullest sense of the word. Amazing to think of how much time and effort went into building it, and it had a real aura of the sacred, as well. Lawcus Farm was one of the nicest places we've stayed anywhere, and I wish we could visit regularly. The innkeepers at Lawcus are what made it so special, Ann Marie and Mark are such loving, kind people. Staying with them was one of the real highlights of our trip!
