With so many shows ending soon (shhhhh!) and my internet situation improving, I'm looking for new shows to start watching. I posted this to Twitter yesterday evening and got a lot of responses! Of course, I'd love for my LJ friends (and lurkers) to offer up their suggestions as well ( Read more... )

Prodigal Son, The Expanse, Stumptown are my new favorites. Lucifer & The Witcher (another new favorite) if you have Netflix.

I also just followed you on Twitter - @jenjld71

I love that show. While it was on its break, I re-watched all the episodes. They have such a good cast.

A good place to start with Doctor Who is series 1 and 2, which is the ninth and tenth Doctors, and Rose Tyler. Totally a favorite.

I also rec Babylon 5, Once Upon a Time, Good Omens.

Oh, man! Doctor Who has been on for so long. It just seems daunting.

I totally watched Babylon 5!
I started on OUAT back when it started but fell behind & never caught up. *shrugs*
Heard good things about Good Omens.

It isn't too hard to catch up if you start with the newer Doctor Who eps. You don't need to see the earlier ones (1960s to 1980's) to understand the series that starts in 2005. That's why I suggested beginning with series 1 and 2 of the Doctor Who revival, which are my favorites. And then if you get hooked, you can continue on. :) The first ep of series 1 is "Rose".

Yay that you watched Babylon 5!

I've seen all of OUAT except for the last half of the last season. Season 7 is missing most of the main cast, so I haven't felt motivated to finish (so I understand not being caught up), but I loved most of the show, so I will eventually see it to the end.

Good Omens is excellent, and only 6 eps. I hope you get to see it!

I'm in outside of America but got several latest tv show like TWD. They started to air 'American Gods' and looked very interesting and unique.

I always recommend The X Files (so many Supernatural connections!). But I don't actually know where to watch it online!

You know, I watched every episode when they were first aired, but I've never re-watched them. I bet that would be fun, if you know a place I can see them!

Here's a link to all 11 seasons, to watch online for free.
Please have a good ad-blocker on your web browser! I highly recommend AdGuard. But it looks like the links are active. I only checked Season 1, but hopefully all the episodes are there.

Btw, if you just search for The X-Files, it looks like they've got the movies and the newer series, too.
