Not My "Little Women"

I grew up watching the 1949 film of "Little Women" with June Allyson as Jo and always loved it. Then Winona Ryder portrayed the writer, Jo, in the 1994 version and I fell in love all over again. Try as I might, the classic with Katherine Hepburn has never appealed to me ( Read more... )

A retelling for the movie little will come out in 2019 of little women with so big names attached like emma Watson directed by Greta gerwig Laura dern and others will also be in it that might be better ❤️

We'll see, I guess. I get that it's one of those classic stories that they want to keep remaking over and over again, but for how long?

Ug, that's too bad the movie was not made very well. I recently read Good Wives, which is what happens with the girls after Little Women. I read it with one of my students and was hit by the wonderful description that I always seem to skim over when I read it to myself :P Beautiful writing.
