I've been thinking something was off with my caps lately, but for some reason I just couldn't focus in on what it was.
Until tonight.
I was fixing the Episode Title Cap for last week's ep, 12x12 and realized the resolution was off. Instead of being 1280x720 it was 1280x738. Just to be sure, I resized the cap to the correct dimensions and sure enough, it looked better.
Then I realized, all the caps I've been making for the past several months have been made with the incorrect resolution. GAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
18 friggin' pixels!!!!!
I finally figured out what settings were off in VLC, took another cap and the problem is now fixed, but...
WHAT. THE. FRIGGIN'. HELL!!!!!
So, okay, I can fix all the cap sets I still have waiting to be sorted/deleted/fixed and resize them to the correct resolution, but all the already posted caps...*cries* I know, I know...it's no big deal to all of you. Eighteen pixels isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things. But it bugs me!
I'll have to take a hard look at the cap sets I've been posting recently and see if I want to re-fix them and re-upload and post them. Because those 18 pixels matter, dammit! I'm only talking about the episode caps, btw. Everything else I'm willing to let go (JibCon, other video caps). Of course, there's a bunch of caps I use for the Just 'Cause posts that are already uploaded to SlickPic that are also all wrong - those will just have to stay where they are. Sorry!
Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!
Alright, I'm going to watch tonight's SPN. *sigh*
