So, people seemed to like the idea of seeing a little more Diet/Tower politics? Well, you should be rather in luck with this part, although 'politics' may not be precisely the word for it...

But sport is Serious Business, Doumeki!
♥
I hope there will be more on-screen Diet Building vs Tower scenes in the future- Yuzu and Kusanagi can be sparkly together, and the rest can just stare. Ahaha, ok, bed now. Love the update.

Part of my head wants to know how Doumeki would know what a badly run sporting even would be like anyway. But the rest of my head says it is too good a comparison to waste. >.>
There will be a bit more to come of the Diet/Tower characters in the next chapter, though they'll be actually reaching the Complex then, so it'll be a different focus. Actually, I think that's probably where all the politics that was missing from this part wound up. ^^;

Ah well, I suppose it would be too much to ask for Kamui-Fuuma interaction that doesn't involve bloodshed. XD
As usual, Arashi is the level-headed one. ^_^ But wait, so the Tower people have livestock or something?

And any Kamui-Fuuma interaction that *did* involve bloodshed would not be the sort of thing any of our main characters would want to be present for. They're the kind of characters who must have a hell of a story behind them, but it'd never fit into this one anywhere (even if I did know what it was). But at least I got to write for the both of them in this fic. ^_^

Not exactly, all the herds they're referring to are wild. It's only when one group goes hunting a bit too close to the other group's home territory that things get messy.

Serious conflict between two of the greatest powers in this side of the country was being made to sound a bit like a badly run sporting event.
He should be grateful they don't go out to eat icecream before going for each other's throats. XD I suppose the lack of icecream plays no small role in this *cough*
Aaah Awesome, absolutely! ^_~

^_^ Thanks! All the CLAMP characters I've worked with so far have been surprisingly cooperative - makes writing for them that little bit easier. Lotta new characters for me to work with in this part though, so I'm glad you thought they all came across well.

Especially if we're talking something like the infamous Fuuma-Seishirou icecream scene. XD

And yes the way to Yuzuriha's heart is through her dog.
“Sorata - that’s scruffy looking guy with the big grin? Er… that one may have been me,” Kusanagi admitted, with a guilty smile.
“He was fine,” Arashi said simply. “His head is hard enough to take far worse.” Hahahahaha! Kusanagi's 'Oppps, haha' attitude is so much fun and Arashi is just so ... Arashi. :P

Ultimately, I don't think Doumeki thinks they're all crazy so much as he's starting to suspect they've gone and invented a whole new kind of sane.
