Apparently my mind has a single track when reading anything about David Boreanaz.

My eyes just widened reading that bit in your post. I get the meaning of course, but at first glance my reaction was 'What?! I can't believe they just wrote that!' LOL

Yeah, the phrasing, and particularly the composition -- at the end of the line -- totally added to the effect.
