My Future on the Sidewalk

As I was walking home yesterday I passed a luggage sidewalk sale. Since I need to invest in a gigantor suitcase before I head off, I looked rather closely at the goods. it's amazingly easy to ascribe a soul to a bike. i've done it to every one i've owned since i got my first real mountain bike when i was about thirteen. that first bike is the only one i don't still, technically, own.

i suppose i do this to a lot of my major possessions--the only reason i still have that bass that you play is because i can't bear to get rid of something that was My Instrument for so long. it doesn't suit the way i want to play anymore, and it was never that great to begin with--and yet i'm still attached enough to it that it's not worth the (measly) amount of money i'd be able to get for it online for me to sell it.
