seriously! speaking of which, i totally forgot about the latest 3d [ugh, really?] installment in the series : edge of destiny and wow, it looks so boring. nice that there is a lot of new characters, but the designs for them look incredibly bland compared to past characters. give me basara, cham cham and hell yes, shizumaru!

yeah! i may prefer the gg characters overall, but the designs for blazblue are still pretty impressive =)

definitely get one! battle fantasia is also pretty fantastic! seeing it in motion was fun, especially since i at first thought it was all 2d until i had a closer look. very cool designs there. also, i'm so glad that mvc 2 is coming out -- i no longer have room in my setup to include my dreamcast. argh!

no problem! and gah i know what you mean! i was really mesmerized by the backgrounds and all the animation going on when people were doing matches. really beautiful stuff =)

Yeah.... not a pinch on GG. But those stage designs are frikken gorgeous... and I really like that cat-girl character. And. And that Demon helmet fellah with the lightsaber thing. Phoar.

yeah... from what i've heard, arc system works no longer own the rights to guilty gear so that's the reason there aren't anymore 2d games coming out and instead those 3d ones that are retelling the story are. it's frustrating! i really loved the cast of characters they made for that series, and i believe the designers for blazblue admitted that some of the new characters are definitely inspired by gg ones. *sigh*

but yes! i hope the next installment, they improve a bit on the overall designs and not just have one or two really stand-out ones =) but i agree, i really like hakumen [the lightsaber guy!] too!

yeah! it's so different from what i've seen out there in terms of catgirl characters. she's cute/sexy yet creepy. a combination i definitely love hehe.
