Family - be as neutral & upbeat as possible. Stick to safe subjects. Weather, books, celebrity news, movies, fun experience of the moment works best for me. If stuff comes up, don't engage. Listen & nodd - change subject as soon as possible. Sleep late. :o)
Hope your trip is a good one & your fears unfounded. I find I spend more time in anxiety now than I once was. Actual interactions not as bad as I fear & I hope that proves true for you. Visit fav restaurants, parks, etc. Watch new comedies. Create better dialogue. Imagine Sean & Elijah in same comedy & who would play who.
Dwell on the good parts of your trip, like seeing your friends - and you'll be home & at Comic Con in ONLY 2 weeks!
