018

Koyama never believed Shige when he said he had kissed a girl before just because he didn't look the type, and all of those seemed to have made him think otherwise when Koyama found him sitting at the bar, a young barmaid tucked at his side, lips entangled in what seemed to look like desperation. Shige had noticed, wide-eyed and obviously startled as he sprang back and away from the young lady. Koyama lowered his gaze and excused himsef out of the inn. Shige couldn't help but follow after him.
"That was a mistake, I'm sorry," Shige tried to explain himself as he watched Koyama pull a stick of cigarette to his mouth. "I didn't meant that."
"Where is that lighter," Koyama muttered through the cigarette between his lips.
"Are you even listening to me? Koyama!" Shige reached forward and took him by the shoulder, turned him around by force. The cigarette flew out of his lips, and Koyama could only look down at his feet.
"I told you I didn't mean that," Shige said again, eyes worried, his fingers trembling on his shoulders. "You weren't supposed to see that."
"It's okay, why are you being so defensive?" Koyama smiled wearily,  "I guess I just didn't believe you the first time you told me," he laughed, a little nervously should Shige ever notice. He narrowed his forehead. "I'm not that kind of person. She was just serving me scotch, and the next thing I knew she was all over me."
"Yeah, she was."
"You still don't believe me."
Koyama took out another cigarette from his packet. "Where is that lighter."
"I'm sorry."
"What are you saying sorry for?" Koyama took his lighter out; little thing was in his coat pocket after all. "I said it was okay. There's no need to apologize for anything."
"I really didn't mean for you to see that."
"It's okay."
"...I'm sorry."
"I already told you it's okay, okay?" he put a hand on his shoulder. Koyama inhaled then turned away to breathe out. "You should go to sleep. We're leaving Munich tomorrow for Paris."
Shige frowned, and he knew Koyama could see it from behind him. "I'm really sorry."
"Stop saying that."
"Sorry..."
"...just go to sleep."
