She teases "But you make it look so effortless."

He did look good though.

Jo was no longer dolled up in her Sunday best, but instead opted for a red tanktop and a nice tight jeans that hugged the curbs all the right places, more than made up for it.

"Gee thanks Jo. I try."

Of course he took a moment to look her over and try to keep his mind out of the gutter. He wanted this date to be nice, if only because Jo was different then any girl. He actually cared for and respected her.

"You look nice."

"That's the important thing after all."

Smilingly she shifted back on her boot's heel, nervous with the promises of this date and feeling his eye's inspection. Dean was the one person's who opinion genuinely mattered to her.

Then nodding towards his new get-up, "You don't clean up half bad yourself."

"I wanted to impress you. DId it work?"

He gave her a genuine smile then and headed to the Impala watching her. So far so good, she hadn't turned heel yet.

"Hope you are hungry."

Easing across the pavement towards the Impala, she smiled knowingly, "I am." It was true-- actually, it was an understatement-- after a whole day spent tracking first the last remaining werewolf then wayward Sam, Jo was ravenous. She could have chewed her way through an entire Texas Longhorn, hide and all, but she wouldn’t because Ellen Harvelle had taught her daughter proper manners. After all, it was rude to disembowel your food.

Life on the road was hard, and she was delighted by the opportunity to break the miles of monochromatic monotony with someone she genuinely admired and easy on the eyes, but ever-curious she couldn't resist, "So what are we having? Don't tell me, you're gonna cook for me."

"Jo I wouldn't wish my cooking even on my worst enemy. It's just be too damn cruel." He smiled and opened the passenger side door for her looking at her. "Ladies first." He did have some of his father's manners, when he chose to use them. "I'm taking you to a nice place. You'll like it." At least he hoped she would.

ooc sorry! I didn't get the notif for this. Hpe you feel better.
