OHMYWORD! There are some things just to delight in on this lovely earth and your story of James and Jack is just that! I'd have to quote the whole of it back to you to name all the pieces and parts I liked. I love the banter tween the two very bright, different but the same men and revel in their comfortable at the time relationship. Could have read for a week and it wouldn't have been enough you know. Love the callback to your stories with checkmate and wig bits

Thank you, my dear! Whenever I write in this verse (which sadly, isn't enough), I remember how *delightful* these two are. Seriously, it's like they write themselves. I think what I love about them the best is that they bring out the best in each other. I have an idea for a different final chapter for these two. Endgame has me in tears every time I re-read it, and I don't think I can leave them like that.

I have an idea for a different final chapter for these two OHMYWORD!! YAMEANIT! REALLY, TRULY!??? Oh, boy! I say this becos I do cry every time I read the verse, truly--read it three times cos I just adore Norrington hie after and then Jack waltzing off with blueballs becos he won't allow the relationship to begin in such a way that Norrington could call off later. I love Norrington misinterpreting Jack's cruel story of first captain, believing Jack would betray them. And babycakes, the chess set just satisfies my little lots of pieces, pink and green, stone cool to touch, smelling and tasting...Jack licking the queen just about gave this old gal a small right-brain stroke, wouldn't have lost speech, but I'd have been a damn site more wobbly.... I even love the sadness of their separation, the whole time I'm all weepy bean and I LOVE the brief appearence of his wife (Norrington needed to be married and love someone and have children) becos she's so loving and protective (and my guess is a great deal like Jack, hence her

My goodness, you are sure inspiring! Now I feel I have to write it because this is what every writer wants: their reader to climb so resolutely into their writing that the reader has to claw their way out. It means that much to them. Thank you, my dear. I've been having a shitty time lately trying to sell real life writing material, and I needed a boost in confidence. You made my month!

I'm off to Dragon con right about noon thirty tomorrow and I'm going to be around creative and bright people who are playing to the best of their ability and ME TOO! I'm going to see William Shatner again as well, I've loved him since I was 15 (Lord, that's 45 years!!!!) I'm going to stay up late and drink a bit and laugh out loud and love kilts and fancy spending a pile of money on a really truly tailored steam punk look--yes even with goggles!
