ever feel like people are nicer to you when you're not nice to them, but when you try so hard to be nice to everyone they really... don't like it?

that makes me feel bleh. elyshia and i were talking about that the other day. *shrug* it's a bit disheartening. and weird.

meh. at least i have elliot's party tonight. woolies people are always

I think it has to do with nature - when you are nasty to someone - people see it as a sign that you are a little afraid of them and need to keep them away. Being so nice and unafraid is a predatory trait - Maybe people are just a little scared of being preyed upon. Nastiness can create just a little bit of distance that can make someone feel a little safer around you, that they may have the predatory advantage - Maybe it's a part of human nature? Since they (we?) are omnivorous predators, that would eat each other - if left alone.

When you sre not nice - more friend than enemy. Cruel to be kind and other social lore.

i wish it wasn't the case. i just like to be nice? meh. i'm over this now anyway - just me being all self-absorbed :P
