Sweltering heat, dull days, wary searches... where are the lands dreams inhabitated... where are the thresholds that faced storms... reflections flit by in unknown shadows..
Nice one - where are they indeed? Hope the road you're on leads to somewhere nice... and that painting always disturbs me, Derek Mahon(n.irish poet)wrote a poem about it, will send you it sometime! On a lighter note there are these 'Scream' pubs everywhere in u.k infested with 'screaming' drunken students:))
Yes this is a very scary painting-you can actually hear the scream. But true screaming can be such a relief too at times, wish we could be that uninhibited. Is it mandatory that you have to get drunk and scream or can you just go and scream, now that would be interesting?!Ever done that?! Shall be finishing off with my workshop this thurs-otherwise no news. Forgot to wish p happy b'day. Did you get in touch?
Yes, have a look at Goya's Black paintings for truly scary images - haha, guaranteed to give one nightmares! I can't scream easily drunk or other wise, plagued by my silences, would be cathartic to just scream... Is your workshop making you want to do that?:)) Sent P an email but have not heard back yet!You forgot, oops!!
That's one of the very interesting paintings I had seen as a student. Otherwise, girl, you're missing office and are searching for the awesomely creative courses that we make........right:). Anyways office mises you too.
Ha ha! That's a good one, no i am not missing our "awesome" courses, but am missing the environment. Here everybody is married and with kids and everybody is also taking me too seriously. They have actually assumed I have great handwriting and have asked me to write down names on the certificates. Can you beat that!!
I thought you would comment! No, ofcourse they havent seen it, they think I am sound academically, faulty premise, and over that a really bad hypothesis that good students have good handwriting! Wait till they get their certificates!!
