The day started out rather well. We woke up from a night of restful sleep among friends and the baby was being sweet and my allergies were not too fearsome so I was all prepared for a day of Sun and Nature so we packed up the car with lunch and the baby and the dog and my immediate family and set off for the countryside where an excellent time was

Oh wow. I've only ever seen hail a few times, and it was little, sparsely-falling, tiny pebbles that made me fear for my car's paint job but not my own safety.

That's very impressive. On your balcony like that it looks like rock candy or giant chunks of salt. Actually it looks like something else and I can't remember what, but it looked JUST LIKE THAT.
