What Not To Wear is a Virgoan wet dream I think because it combines two elements often so beloved of Virgos (and people with Virgo Ascendants, ahem): self-improvement and practicality/usefulness. Even their site is practical as it offers style advice relating to body shapes etc ( Read more... )

I'm embarrassed to say this, but when I can catch BBC America... I love that show.

Did you see the menopausal women one? It was so lovely, and so fantastic :o)

And if you're hankering, you can keep fixing me. Of course, it would be easier if someone swooped and said "Here Lynne, take £2000 and buy clothes"! but still :o)

Make up next you know?

I hate the *lose X amount of weight* shows.
They make me want to throw things at the television.

I generally don't get on with that sort of TV, but I was impressed and had to reconsider a bit when I saw the one about the menopausal women. They really did look much more confident by the end. I found myself thinking 'argh, I really hate all my clothes, 2000 quid of new ones is actually sounding quite tempting. But only if I could hide all my tradgoth dresses at someone else's house first.' ;)

I'm afraid I can't contribute £2000 quid but I do have a bunch of clothes set aside to give to the charity shop (they're all fine, I'm just trying to unclutter) so you can get first dibs if you like. :)

Lol
very wise. :)

i LOVE the show - me and Em ALWAYS wach it now - i used to hate them as they were essentially very patronising and bitchy to some of the people - but something about this series has been better, they work with people that are so scared of themselves adn they give them confidence - it is great to watch.

you are more then welcome to come and try your stylerness on me at anytime (although bare in mind i'm a student with a severe hatred of anything that isn't jeans so i might be a challenge!)

Mwahahahahaha!
*glee*

I got my mother to wear a top embroidered with some sequins. Jeans seem a pretty minor challenge in comparison, and there's a lot of nice things that can be done with denim (I live in jeans) provided it's enlivened by some funky shoes/tops/accessories.
