The apple spice cake sounds SO DELISH but as I am no longer allowed sugar I am sadly skipping that... but Pud's pot roast sounds awesome and very nommy. Thanks for sharing. :D

Ugh, no sugar? I'd die. Well, probably, and it'd probably be good for me, but I do love me some sugar!

The pot roast is NOMMY. It's how my mother always made it (well, I added the french onion soup to the mix when I got old enough to cook), and I've always loved it. The meat is so tender. And you barely have to lift a finger while it cooks.

I think whenever you mention cooking anything on your LJ, you should be required to share the recipe. I promise I'm going to want it.

Thank you for sharing! One apple spice cake coming up!

*giggles*

I have to say the snaps were to die for. I haven't had them in age and man were they good.

I can't tell you what the cake tasted like because I generally don't eat anything I bake, especially things with raisins.

I have to tell you that we are of the same mind becaue I've been craving post roast lately and I was going to make an apple cake yesterday but the recipe I have calls for sour cream, which I never have on hand...

I love the heck outta some pot roast! I've been wanting one forever, but it's just been too hot to consider eating a real meal. But now that it's fall, I will be cooking more.

Fall make me think of apple cake. I hope yours turns out well!

Lol It's funny u wished me luck because I have had a disaster day and trying to bake added to that (defrosting butter, forgetting the brown sugar and then not having enough)
I love pot roast, but it's just me and I never make it because I feel like it'll go to waste....When I go home to see family it's usually around holiday time too so I lose out on pot roast and get plenty of turkey...For me it's one of those dishes I love and rarely get to eat
