Fort Awesome Part Deux

I took my new camera to work today.  I let my student loose with it because she wanted to play with it, then I took a few to supplement what she'd done.

I know I'm always talking about how I'm drowning in work.  Well, here is the photographic evidence.  Behind the cut you are going to see lots and lots of comic books, Gerard Way's signature, a ( Read more... )

I still wanna come work as your assistant.

I'd post the same pictures, but after one everyone'd be asleep.

Too bad the commute is a bitch because I'm going to need a full time assistant soon.

*pats* I think of you every time I pick up a Dilbert collection. Cubeville!

I keep thinking of ways I could swing it, but it'd never fly. Damn.

My cube is almost papered with Dilbert comics from my daily calendar...because I live them every damn day.

Hee! I love your nameplate. Can I come live in your office? I promise not to drool too much over all those books.

My student is extremely good at photoshop and made my nameplate and all the exhibit labels.

You'd be amazed at how much the comics don't tempt you - once you're dealing in tons, they lose their OMG shiny.

BATMAN PEZ!

I wish I could see the exhibits for reals. :(

Yup, the Batman pez as a gift from the mailroom guy. People in the library bring me presents like that all the time.

I wish you could too :( I'd give you the private tour if you ever were in Richmond for anything. I'd let you look at anything and everything.

I don't know which is cooler, the books or your nameplate. ♥

Ugh I want to just ROLL AROUND in all the amazing things in your work. That UA special edition, *swoons* And everything else! I would just be reading all day, I have no idea how you get work done.

I know, it's a tough decision isn't? Books or that nameplate...

You'd be amazed at how non-tempting the comics can be when you're faced with them by the ton. I've got another donor bringing me two tons in addition to the final two tons from Alaska. On a bright note, I'm 8 boxes from finishing the first installment of the Alaska donation! SO FREAKING EXCITED!

And honey, I didn't even show you the GOOD stuff. This is just stuff I see on regular basis. I didn't crack out the signed Neil Gaimans, signed Batman comics, comic collections from 1905, Batman set design paintings, letters from Spiegelman, original artwork...
