Awhile back I read my first atheist book, Christopher Hitchens's God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything. I've been wanting to read a book with that view for quite some time because I realize that I've never read a book that set out to make a case for there being no God. I remember when I crossed that threshold. I was 19. I was driving east on Lindsey about to exit my college campus. I had recently had an argument over email with a guy who had written something silly in a conservative student newsletter. He accused me of denying my heritage and all sorts of other things, and at one point told me I wasn't Christian if I didn't believe that non-Christians were going to hell ( ... )
