Damn it, why isn't anyone watching "Swingtown"? CBS finally puts on a show that doesn't involve geriatric detectives, and no one pays any attention. It's a fun show, it's well written, it shows people in open relationships (not so much poly as we know it, but c'mon) in a relatively positive light, and it takes place in the swingin' '70s. We're watching it and a LOT of the poly community is watching it as well. Are there statistics saying otherwise??

I would LOVE to see it continue as well. I know that I made sure to write it down during the week that I had the Nielson's ratings book in my hands. :D

Yes, we are diehard fans over here. In fact we were pissed the other night when we sat down to watch it...and they'd moved it to Friday!

And the fact that they didn't run any "your favorite show has moved to..." commercials tells me that they want it to die a quick death.

Just an FYI. I am now completely caught up on reading your journal.

And I have never heard of Swingtown.

I can't. If I were to start, it'd be cancelled. Every show I've ever liked & started watching has been dicked around on the schedule and then cancelled.

So I'm doing my part to keep it on the air by not getting interested in it.

I plan on voting Republican, too, in hopes that my "if I pay attention to it, it will die" karma will hold.

Every show I've ever liked & started watching has been dicked around on the schedule and then canceled.

Julie and I say the same thing. If we love it, it's going to get canceled.
