Christmas Yet to Come, an AtOG interlude. Superhero!AU. When I get stuck on the fic itself these rushed scribbled things are quite fun, despite the buckets o' angst they usually entail. And I know I'm writing loads of Christmas stuff in the middle of November, this is not some plan I had, believe me. Frickin' fic timeline

I hadn't stopped to think--REALLY think--about how Kurt meeting Blaine years after high school meant that he would have been that much lonelier during high school. It makes my heart break for him, in spite of the fact that in 'current' fic time, he has Blaine to make it all better. Great interlude from Finn's perspective--he can be a tricky character to get right b/c he's so simple-minded in some ways but at the same time there IS depth there, it just doesn't always show. Felt like you nailed him in this chapter.

The lack of glee club - and due to that, without that slimmest concidental chance of their meeting, the lack of Blaine - really does just hollow out Kurt's high school years, and the way he views life and himself after high school. Poor puppy =( But things are getting better now (obsessive happy endings ftw?) =)

Finn's voice is ridick fun to write, I really enjoy trying it - simplicity, ways of understanding through the things he *doesn't* understand. So, I'm glad he rang true for you =) And thank you for reading honey, despite all angst - thank you <3

Oh, Finn.

And Kurt's loneliness has, despite the vivid language of the earlier chapters, never been as strongly painted as in this. I just want to bundle him up and hug him forever.
