Thanks a bunch for translating the chapter!! *sends online cookies* I wanted so much to have the details for this chapter (the Chinese scanlation for vol. 8 isn't out for download yet =( ). This "I'm immortal; I want to be released from life" backstory is a little unoriginal (but who would have expected of Kouichi at the beginning of the manga?) However, emotions are so well portrayed I couldn't care less. It seemed to me that Kamatani-sensei would never tell us anything about Kouichi. In fact, around vol. 5 I started fearing that there wasn't anything interesting about him apart from those ruthless bouts. Now I'm glad she took her time before telling us his backstory. This is something I like from Nabari no Ou, development is slow, but when it comes, it delivers, at least in my opinion.
Now the one who is in dire need of further development is Thobari.
Oh, this is wonderful! Thank you so much for your hard work! ♥
Finally, we learn more details about Kouichi. It really adds a nice touch, that he's being contradictory. It's like... he's shifting from his original goal, influenced by meeting with Miharu, Raimei and Kumohira-sensei, but that same meeting should reinforce his will to fulfill his goal. Now I'm having contradictory thoughts myself XD I wonder what his theory is...
Thank you so much! It's so exciting to finally see all these chapters being translated/scanlated like this in the past week or so! I definitely appreciate your work!
