I really like your fanfiction. It doesn't really seem like a fanfic, more like an original story based. True, this genre could almost be a fanfic since it has an established world, but the people are all different. I am envious of how you can write a Chinese styled story in English. Your story still gives a xianxia feel even though it's not in Chinese.

When I read the first chapter, I thought that Ying Ru might actually be a shen(神) because of the line, "this is not her body," and the fact that I still remember a little from 仙侠奇缘之花千骨. However, after reading sections from Yie Feng's perspective, she seems more likely to be a reincarnation of a xian, or maybe his lover from before Yie Feng was a xian? By the way, what characters make up Ying Ru and Yie Feng's name? I'm curious as to how your story will develop.

Yie Feng = 叶锋 & Ying Ru = 英如
So surprised someone actually asked this!

花千骨 I really want to read it a while ago but I couldn't seem to find the audiobook for it! Currently marathoning 诛仙 so I have my hands full xP

haha fanfic writing is paying fangirl homage to my obsessions. Right now it is xianxia so this is a fanfic alright! Thanks for reading!! I really enjoyed all your guesses!

Oh, I wondered about the characters' names because occasionally the name foreshadows something, like how 花千骨 got her name is because whenever she touches a flower, it withers. I'm still debating whether or not Yie Feng's name is fake since he hesitated before giving his name. At first I thought it was 枫 for maple.

When I was reading 花千骨 a couple months ago, I did find an audio book for it, but it missed the last 2 or 3 chapters. The ending was kind of angsty, but the epilogue made everything better. Is 诛仙 good? What is it about?

hmm you're right, names do that. But maybe it's just taken to a completely different level with chinese names (like with characters and everything) I remember reading somewhere that koreans have chinese names for that reason. Can get very detailed too

hehe your observations really makes me giddy! fake name...

I was wondering why she is called that lol. not very pretty name! But now it makes a lot of sense. Really want to read that one mostly because a lot of the baidu readers compare it with 六花禁爱. The male lead in there is apparently very Mu Zi Xin-like. I would totally dig a disciple-sifu OTP too.

Zhu Xian is just something I got piqued by the game, because I was playing it for a while. Both the novel and the game was pretty popular in china I suppose. It's very wuxia if you like that kind of genre. It's a guy writer with a guy main character, probably more Jin Yong-ish than Tonghua-ish.

I'm giddy you got swept away by his line too lol. It's supposed to give a strange feeling, if not, then i failed T_T

Definitely, Ye Feng knows who Ying Ru is. The feeling will get stronger and maybe you'll have a guess on what the relation between these two are soon ^_~
