No surprise this made a better book than movie. This book, more than the others I feel, relied heavily on narrative structure to interweave plots and subplots, which would make it a lot more difficult to film. I understand and accept this, but it doesn't change the fact that I was completely underwhelmed by the movie as a whole. I went to a 9:45

Maybe I liked the movie more than you did because it's been so long since I read the book, and don't remember how much they left out...
