Kinetic energy is energy in motion as opposed to potential energy, which is energy with the potential to move. In this lab we are testing kinetic energy by dropping a glider (which we will research and construct) with an initial velocity of zero. The distance the glider covers will be a major factor in determining the kinetic energy. Other factors that will play an important role in this lab are velocity, force, acceleration, and mass.
