Before I get to my Abney Park pictures, I just have to get this one work event off of my chest. The event, in and of itself, almost made me cry, but, when you look at the bigger picture, was comical, as if straight out of some horrible comedy movie ( Read more... )

Oh man, I think I can go tomorrow, but I'm still worried that things will fall through.
I'm also worried because it doesn't seem like there's much going on, and I'm going alone, which is awkward, but I really, really want to go and dress, even my steampunk gear is only so-so.

I went by myself. I went strictly for Abney Park, then wandered around. There were plenty of things going on, but I didn't attend any of the panels.

My attire was so-so. But it doesn't matter. I just went because I could. :)

Your work needs a big giant kick up the backside. Honest to god. I get so angry! They treat you appallingly! What an incredibly stupid way to run a company. Morons.

On the plus side, it sounds like you had an awesome time at the expo. I loved the little exchange between you and the Abney Park people. XD You're so brave, how do you do it? I'd have just meeped and stared at them in silent awe. :P

Great photos. I really think I ought to try and catch them in Wales, this year ... they look like a band I ought to see. And I do so love their music. <3

I know. I hate it there. We all do. Unfortunately, it's the only proper source of income, until I get rich and famous from being a novelist. Which will take a while.

Haha! Nothing to it, actually. I think, maybe, I got braver thanks to Wine & Alchemy. I felt that way about Wine & Alchemy, too, where I'd just stare in silent and admiring awe. Even with having done workshops with Roxanne. I think it was when Jake, out of nowhere, came to sit with Thad and I at the Renaissance Festival. I was internally squee-ing, but you soon realize: They're regular people. Just like us. On a less internationally famous scope, it helps that I go see Shakedown every week, and hang with the boys. They're cover-band rockstars... but they're regular people. And they're awesome. <3

DOOO IIIIIT! They are awesoooooome and full of Steampunk-y goooooodneeeeess! <333333
