Here. It's out of order, so check out a Firefly site or something for the right one.

Will you go see Serenity with me? Please?

*applauds SSM legislation passing*
*slow claps at the daily feature of Holmes/Cruise in 24*

i've heard good reviews for firefly...but it's sci-fi/futuristic theme makes me hesitant to watch it!

It's really good. It's not sci-fi in the way that there are aliens involved in the show - everyone is human. It takes place in the future, and as the opening monologue explains: After the Earth was used up, we found a new solar system and hundreds of new Earths were terraformed and colonized.

It's really more sci-fi/western. No, really. They ride around in horses sometimes, and occasionally speak random mandarin. And it's awesome. Really.

Did you know Scientology is a religion founded on a bet by two science fiction writers to see who could turn science into a religion first?

That wasn't meant to demean the religion or anything, I'm just saying...

Oh and I always thought that chemical imbalances and dealing with the brain and stuff was a part of scientology (it's part of science anyway)... so what does the religion advocate anyway?

This is very interesting to me... so no comment please about how loserish it is to reply to your own comment.

According to dictionary.com, Scientology is "a controversial belief system developed by L. Ron Hubbard, based on a person being an immortal spiritual being whose survival depends on him/herself and his/her attainment of brotherhood with others and the universe." From my knowledge (which is almost non-existant), Scientology has very little to do with science, or else they're teaching their members wrong information if this is what Tom Cruise is spewing out.

Man, when I watched that Tom Cruise interview, I got so angry.

Matt Lauer probably has more knowledge in his pinky than Cruise's entire brain.
