Friday Night Lights:I know I haven't talked about this show in ages but it is still my favourite thing on tv. Season 1 was absolute perfection in my eyes, but season 4 came pretty close to topping it over - it was amazing but on a completely different level. The show became a little darker, the characters more tragic, and I spent the latter half ( Read more... )

I totally agree with everything you said about FNL. I liked that it was a darker, higher emotional/personal stakes season. ♥

I still can't believe that they did such a wonderful job bringing in the new characters that I (almost) don't miss the original characters. Or course, the show was always based around the Taylors so as long as they're around, it will always feel like FNL.

ITA with everything you said about The Good Wife, especially about Kalinda being hard to read. My sister and I keep discussing it and not coming to any conclusions. It's so funny to me that Kalinda and the FBI agent have such good chemistry because the actress who plays the FBI agent is also on Royal Pains, which is one of my fun summer shows, and I am always ranting about how she has less than no chemistry with the male lead. I thought it was her, but clearly they just don't click. /tangent

Jackie is fucking RIDICULOUS. I shook my head in disbelief and chortled at the words that came out of her mouth.

They are going OTT with her lately. She didn't used to be this cray cray.

What do you hope Alicia decides, re: the cliffhanger? I'm interested in Will/Alicia, but I just find Peter so compelling and want more and more of him.

I don't think it was much of a cliffhanger since Alicia has pretty much decided to stick with Peter for the time being unless Will came up with an elaborate plan in 30 seconds. (Also, way to give away the ending in your promo, CBS.) But you're right - as much as I want Will/Alicia to happen, I do think Peter is sincere about wanting to be a better man and there's so much they can do with his character next season. I think he'll eventually fail and get pulled into the "seductive allure of power" or however Eli Gold put it, but I'm looking forward to seeing him go head to head with Glenn Childs and all the politicking manoeuvring that's bound to be less than ethical.

This is probably one of the best triangles on tv in a while. I don't resent Alicia for choosing Peter over Will because I understand her motives and while I am firmly on Team Will, I think Peter is a fascinating character and I want to see how his storyline plays out in his reelection campaign and how it will affect his family.
