30 Days of Shipping Meme+Picspams: Day 1
SOOOOO. I admit, I'm a shipping whore. The only shows I've ever watched and not (romantically) shipped anyone are Parks and Recreation and Community, because the romance is not the focus of those shows for me. But the other shows? YES, GIVE ME SHIPS. So when I saw a picspam in fandom_picspams with this meme, I thought "YES, I HAVE TO DO THIS!" and here I am. I hope I will fare better with this than with my previous meme-attempt, which kinda faded away. But I blame it on the fact that football season is over and I was lazy.
And now a short disclaimer. These are my personal views and by no means do I claim that I am right and these ships should be endgame/people who don't like them are delusional. No way. We each have our opinions and we should all bask in our love for the respective shows/books/movies. If you like a particular ship, give me a shout. If you disagree with me, feel free to give me a shout too. I like diversity of opinions :) Bottom line, I don't want to offend anyone.
Aaaand I also know that the size of the picspam is too large for this stupid layout but I had a few done before posting them on LJ and couldn't be bothered to resize them.
And now on to the shipping :D
Day 01 - What is your current favorite ship? Rachel/Quinn (Glee)
My current favorite ship for the past year and a bit is Rachel/Quinn. Yes, they will never be canon, but I love their chemistry and I think they'd be amazing together. And while I think canon!Rachel is definitely straight, I think canon!Quinn is totally gay. Maybe it's the amazing fanfiction or the beautiful fanart, but this ship has gripped me like no other. It also doesn't hurt that Dianna and Lea have a chemistry that could ignite a whole forest. To me, Rachel and Quinn are perfect for each other: Quinn can keep up with Rachel intellectually, Rachel can help Quinn with her "Lima loser forever" issues, they'd treat each other the way they deserve it and they would have awesome sex. As far the the actual show goes, I hope they'll write these two as friends or at least frenemies because there is so much potential there. And then the fanfiction writers will make sure that us shippers get the twist we actually want :>
