>_> It's so much fun trying to think up ways to make aliens that aren't humanoids, which I think was consistently TOS' big problem--that is, that all their aliens were an awful lot like people. I like aliens that are hard to human beings to picture because they don't have to conform to human standards; thus, Chekov's aliens who live in two different dimensions.
Omg it was so intuitive once I started writing! They've both got this big institutional government that doesn't really show up much, and it made sense that if Starfleet were evil or turned evil Kirk would SO pitch a fit, and of course Spock would be able to handle all the undercover stuff, b/c he is a genius. Also, I decided that Uhura and Inara as old bffs makes sense too, since they're both smart career women who are incredibly sexy.
Anyway, it turned out to be the kind of fic that makes me want to plot out the entire world system that backs it up. >_> So.
Yay, thank you! As I told Jess, I like trying to think how aliens would be since it doesn't seem likely that they'd be humanoids. Also, Chekov's accent. :D I wish I could make all his dialogue .mp3 files with his actor speaking them.
Simon enjoys getting to made snide comments at Jayne, particularly when they go over Jayne's head and he doesn't get threatened. >_> I suspect he has a crush on Inara in kind of the way Gaheris has a crush on Ragnelle: Damn that woman can take care of herself.
But we know that deep down he reaaally caaaaaares. Or something. But yes. He is my fav. :) (also- chekov: space slut in training. only really. perhaps he takes lessons from kirk.)
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <33333333333333333333333333333333 Wonderful, beautiful, Mal's discomfiture is amusing, the merge of the two verses is slicker than an android's behind, and I'll be in my bunk, too. ;D And the other story with Chekhov and the brains was terrific as well! 8DDD
Yay! I'm so glad you like it! I really enjoy getting the impetus to write some of these things, especially the ones I would never have thought of on my own, like Inura. :D I am trying to write Arthurian legend/Firefly right now, though, and damn but those two verses don't want to cross over.

YOU. THIS. OMG.
I love how you made the Firefly and Star Trek universes fit together, and I love this pairing. <3 I'll be in my bunk.
And I love the first fic too! I love how you write alien stuff, because you use your gross science knowledge. :D And aaaw, Chekov and his accent. :)
