It’s a little hard to sum up everything that’s going on right now, but I can give it a good try, or at least make a bulletpoint list of the important items, which may work just as well

I'm glad you got good grades! Christmas Eve there was freezing rain and incredibly high winds in Tennessee so we didn't get to go to Midnight Mass, unfortunately. Also, you're back at school already? Ugh. Anyway, I hope your dad's feeling better!
So you get to go back early and then sort of chill out at your school?
Just chilling out in my apartment, actually, but I will have to go down to campus for meetings and a piano exam a few times next week (I should start practicing for that, uhhhh). And to start returning this massive pile of library books. D: I could have stayed in PA longer, but traveling takes so much out of me that I wanted to make sure I'll have fully recovered before I have to do any thinking. :p (Also, I want to be able to watch Friday's Doctor Who episode on my big monitor! and by myself in case I cry, which I certainly will.)
I think it just bugs me that what's-her-face lady makes such a shitty captain. I had high hopes it would be like "look! all she needed was a chance to prove herself and be given the respect a man accords and she was great!" But actually she really did just suck as a captain.
Well, yeah. I know. That would have been cooler. But at least they didn't try to blame it on her being a woman--they established that she was a bad captain because she was a loon, and not because she was a woman. I thought it would have been worthwhile to explore how the whole thing kind of exposed some of Starfleet's really unfair policies, but sadly they missed that opportunity.
This is why I sort of appreciated it when I asked Macrina if getting my nose pierced was going to hurt and she just said "Yes, a lot." D:
No, but only one of my sisters was home. :( I would totally love to see you if we could find someplace halfway between us to meet. I'm leaving Jan. 4 though!

I hope not, because I'm planning to as well.
Your life seems hectic. Everyone says getting your ears pierced doesn't hurt, but that's because they did it so long ago they don't remember.
My holidays were quite nice, but lonely.
I am so sorry about your grandfather, darling. ♥

It is, kind of! Also, yes, ears not hurting is a LIE.
Were you by yourself? We should try maybe to get together while I'm home, although you're about an hour and a half away from me now, I think. O_o
♥ thanks.

Aww, that's too bad. Oh man, really? I'm not going back until the 4th. Anyway, how far are you from Harrisburg?
