I finally resume my journaling. But based on a conversation I had with dubastyra , I'm going to set it up a little differently. I write down this stuff in a lot of details for my own enjoyment and memory, because I know a year from now, I won't remember the little details I know intimately now. Arriving at the top, we were greeted by a television camera. I forgot that we were greeted at the Kochi City station by a camera crew as well. Apparently the Ryouma Sakamoto crew was going to be filming and taking pictures of us as we toured the schools, and there was also a crew from NHK, which is Japan’s version of TBS - a public broadcasting ( Read more... )

Thankfully today was a late day to wake up. We left Kyoto and took a combination of shinkansen and regular train to Kochi City. The shinkansen was super fast - the landscape pretty much zipped by us in a whirl. Then, we took the regular train. The landscape was incredible! We went to three different places in Kyoto today. First stop was the Sanjusangendo (三十三限度) Temple. I actually already wrote about it, because I was responsible for posting to the Teacher Blog for that particular site. So rather than reinvent the wheel, I'll post it here: ( Day One )
