Thanks for the encouragement on the octopus painting. I really, really appreciate it. I sometimes do art that I think is so freaking cool, someone will erect a statue to it... and it flops like a drunk, fat redneck at a swimmin' hole. From those experiences, I have learned to test the waters before I brag. :) So, thanks again. I will look into

you do art for you, because you want to...dont worry about what others think of said art, unless you are requesting a critique; a critique is for learning from, comments on art are just comments.

Guess what? Unplowed roads and little salt/sand is what I have been dealing with all winter to this point up here.(and I don't have all wheel drive).Plus,we have a lot more snow than you do.Yes,this winter sucks!
