I was just over at Fur Affinity posting some of my new art and man, I was getting a lot of comments. Weird. They were all on my "Dyslexic Christmas" thing... which means that these people are sick and twisted... AH! My people! How I love thee ( Read more... )

THANK YOU! :D *Blushes*

Actually, I have to draw stuff like this to get it out of my system. If I don't, then I make them into cards and people send me coal for Christmas. Of course, that would be a great present for me; I could use it in the fire place to keep warm! MWA-HAHAHAHA!

I must draw stuff like this to get it out of my system... so I don't make them into my holiday cards... and get hate mail in return.

I wish they would spay me. But they always refused to do it for me, even with present health problems associated with it and a history of severe, life threatening illnesses in my family associated with the same thing.

LOL icons!

My problem (among many) was that I was having excessive menses. (We're talking heavy, for 6 months.) My obgyn did an endometrial ablation, which is where the inside of the uterus is cauterized. The uterus becomes scar tissue and an egg cannot implant itself. I also have some cysts on my ovaries but, without having the constant bleeding, I can deal with them.

I haven't had a period since June. No, I'm not pregnant. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. And very possibly fibroid tumors. I've gone over a year without a period, which sounds good to a lot of women who don't understand, but it makes me feel bloated ALL the time, sick, tired out, and really heavy. Also, I can't lose weight for the life of me, I'm losing my hair on my head, my skin looks like crap, the elevated sugar levels it causes have ruined my teeth, and I'm hairier in places I shouldn't be like my arms. The chances of me being able to conceive are way too slim anyway, let alone actually carry the baby to term if I ever did. Even so, they won't take it out so I can live a healthier life...

I went through the "no period" thing, too. Same symptoms as you except my glucose levels are pretty good - a little high but nothing to send me into a diabetic coma. The ablation has REALLY helped me. No real periods, no bloating and sluggishness. I do occasionally have spotting, but nothing too radical. It didn't help my PCOS (the weight, hair, etc) but I no longer feel as if I need to rip out someone's jugular vein with my teeth all the time. At first, I was really afraid and depressed. As I've lived without the issues, I think this was one of the best things I've had done medically. I don't even get cramps as much as I used to.
