Some old, some new...

I was looking through some old scans of things that I've done in the past. Some of them got incorporated into a recent collage. It's nice to recycle images and come up with something new.

I like The Tools of the Trade entry. It's actually a great idea for an inventory of sorts. I tend to forget what I have sometimes, and I end up with 4 un-used brushes of the same size or untouched bottles of linseed oil. ;p

The photo on top, are those brush pens? I don't understand why they're not available here. We can be so un-updated in art supplies. But mobile phones? That we have lots of. Crazy. :p

Ah, so you paint in oil too?

Okay, the photo in the collage at the top is a picture of the marker-type brush pens. I like them less than real brush pens, but they'll do in a pinch. I'm very surprised that they don't have them there. The ones I use are a U.S. brand - Zig, but I know that a Japanese company makes a brand called Sai.

I try. ;) I haven't experimented much with the medium, and I can still count my oil works with 2 hands. My excuses are: I can't find linseed, there's no space/time, cleaning the brushes is such a hassle. Also the same reasons why I work with watercolor more often.

When my friend went to N.Y. last november I asked her to get me a marker-type brush pens. (My brush pen knowledge is so limited. Now I'll look for the brands that you mentioned.) She told me to check an online catalog and list what other stuff I need and I can just pay her when she gets back. I ended up getting all the stuff except the brush pens. LOL. Maybe the universe disapproves of The Skyorange and Brushpen Union. ;p

Staying home all day definitely has it's benefits! And yeah, I hear lots of people don't need to work now if they just do well on ebay ;). Yeah, I'm not having any luck with finding a princess crown either *LOL*
