Thank you my dear...I love being able to post and actually *have* something to post. It was boring without pictures. I'm too visual nowadays :). I've been browsing your website and am just in awe of the amount of things that you have made!!! They are beautiful!

You made out like bandits!
Great art work, women do better naked women, more honest in capturing their true beauty, men have a habit of idealising it, making it unattainable. Guess that's why the early painters focussed on Goddesses and such and not wives and mothers.

I love that you said "women do better naked women". I laughed out loud and called the boy in to see your comment. I do love the black and white nude. Something about the weight in her breasts appealed to me. (Now didn't that just sound WEIRD???)

no it worked for me both on an artistic level(I'm not artist mind you), it's the suggestion of flesh, blood, gavity, potentional, curve and it's all there in the apparent visible weight.

It also appealed to me on the, "mmmmmm, weight of booby in hand" level, the same level that likes loud cars, ball sports and scratching.

Actually, I don't really know much about Spiderwick. The boy got this for me because he thought I would like the art, and I do! :) Tell me more about the series! I'd love to know what it's about. This book is in my pile of "to read soon" book.

Thanks for reminding me about Froud. I haven't seen his work in a while :). The books sound like they're pretty good. I loved books like that when I was younger (still do!).
