I love the suspense you build here and the mood is set really well with therain and the house falling down around your ears and just how alone Robz is. I love all teh little details that make it our Robin and not any old Locksley like his thoughts on replacing the firewood in the morning because he would and his hood blowing sideways in the wind! The image of the shadow sliding down the stairs put me in mind of Voldemort which gave me the HEEBIEJEEBIES bc book 1-4 Voldemort is bloody scary! I was totally relieved when he made it out of the house! Excellently spooky work! :)

Hee, thanks!! :) There was a point when I thought it really could be a general Robin Hood story, and not necessarily BBC Robin Hood... but it's much more fun to have it be our Robs. ;)

I still have to read the Harry Potter books! I've got them; mainly, I've been waiting until my kids are just a little older, so we can read them together. That's definitely something to look forward to-- all of us, kids included, like creepy, scary stuff. :D
