Characters/Pairings: Robin's trousers
Summary: A sonnet in praise of a brilliant costume piece.
Disclaimer: I have no rights to or association with the show Robin Hood or its costume department.

O, lace-up trousers, either cotton or leather,
We do so adore you, no matter whatever
You're made of (perhaps suede?)
Our thoughts are delayed
When you cling oh-so-kindly
To legs and/or hiney.
You once had back lacing,
But then, just front-facing
Fastenings were found;
Though, my fav'rite is bound
With the ties up the side
(Okay, so I lied;
The front is the best.
But, please go with my jest).
And, speaking of clinging,
Our... hearts, yes, "hearts," of COURSE, this is the word I mean, they were singing
With 3-1's cave wander.
We could not be fonder
Of an article of clothing.
You are equalled by no thing
That was worn in this show.
Just pants and a bow
Are all that we need
On our video feed
When it comes to our Robin.
(Though, we'd not be sobbing
If the bow was alone.
But for kiddies at home,
We'll go with the pants.)
So now, with this chance
To have shared a small musing
About our perusing,
I'll close my small rhyme.
My friends, take the time,
The next ep you view,
To show some love too,
For the gift we've been given,
The one that has driven
Us oft to distraction.
So, with satisfaction
That I've expressed just how splendid
Are the trousers, I call this ode
Ended.
