Shalmaneser decided it would be fun to delete a document containing notes from a three-hour lecture in the one class I've actually started to care about. Haha, Shal. You are one hilarious laptop ( Read more... )

You're alive!

I am!

It's - kind of hard to tell by looking at me. I even look dead. Makes me feel as if I've really embraced university life.

(Well, no, unfortunately I'm still sort of screwing around, but the procrastination is quickly being bled out of me. There's no friggin' time to leave things until the last minute. Every minute is the last minute. AGH.)

Why, thank you. I am teary-eyed, but too manly to express it through an emoticon.

And - manliness makes me think of yaoi, which reminds me that I have been wanting to grovel at your feet and make a request. You know that yaoi doujin anthology you got at Anime North the first year we went as a group? The one with the Blade of the Immortal yaoi?

(Yeah, you can see where this is going. XD)

Can I pleasepleaseplease borrow it to scan that particular section? I picked up another copy of BotI the other day, and Manji and Magatsu were alone in a forest, being all manly but not doing it. It made me sad. And then I remembered your fabulous collection and wanted to see it again. So! My request is made.

You're still the king of yaoi. *swoon*

P.S.: Never playing World of Warcraft, from this day forward. Never. XD

I've been thinking about doing NaNo, just because I haven't done it before and maybe I'll learn some dicipline. I also need to get out of my slump...
Are you doing it? Have you done it before?

Yep, I'm going to be doing it this year, for the very first time. Another of my friends, silverwerecat registered and succeeded last year, so she's my general role model. I've got a full university course load on the go and, yeah, this'll be a sort of exercise in discipline pour moi. Writing is what I want to do, school is what I have to do; that sort of thing. I can see it all turning out really well, or else going completely to ruin.

BUT! XD I'm encouraging all of the more talented authors on my f-list to give it a try, or - if this year's too busy - to consider it in the future. So - have some light peer pressure.

Okay, you convinced me. So I signed up for this month. Now I have to figure out which one of my ideas I want to use, or if I just want to start working on one I already started.

Hrmm...this might be fun.

YES, gotcha! XD

Quite honestly, though I know it'll be a lot of work, I just keep getting more and more excited. And it's not even halfway through October yet.

As an added bonus, this means I'll have more fic to feast upon. Of your original works, I've only ever read excerpts from Unbridled Aria. Assuming you go with a new idea, there'll be fresh meat!

What's your name on-site? I've been jumping from name to name lately; NaNo-wise, I'm 'The Serval'.

The drift thing amuses. I'll try it out as soon as I get to play KH2. :D

Yesss, I'm doing Nanowrimo. I keep reminding myself to make a story outline of some sort, but I'm so lazy I think I'm just going to wing it. *thumbs up!* My first time as well.

It's so definitely worth the waste of time. And anyway, you've got to find some way to entertain yourself out in the Grasslands. They're bloody huge.

(Plus, I've always liked making really annoying, screeching vehicle sound effects, ever since I was a little Raihu. <.<)

Excellent, there are so many more participants than I'd originally thought. And - eheh - I think there's something to be said for preparing absolutely nothing in advance. That's the true intention of the hardcore NaNo-er, right? Write completely from scratch!

Eeee, we're gonna be hardcore. XD

Must ask ... what's your name on-site? I am The Serval, and would like to stalk you. Politely.

Worry not that that you seem like a stalker! I would have done the same thing. My username: nazurk.

Yeeeah. I kind of forgot what the point of Nanowrimo was, so I went up on the site to read the FAQ, and am now very much cheered by the reminder that it's SUPPOSED to be insane. It should be a very welcome relief come the end of this month! Good to know you're going to be hardcore as well!

It's soooo much fun. XD Originally I used it as a battle tactic to sort of circle around those damn, huge dog-things (crap, I can never remember what they're called), but then I realized just how awesome it was to "drift" across the African savannah.

I think I'll need to go home and play a 'lil. As therapy, yes? XDDD

Guhhh, losing lecture notes. You can try yorku to see if there's anyone who can lend you the notes. I usually write my info on paper (and give my wrist a work-out), but that's only because I can't type that fast. *le sweatdrop*

I really ... really should have just handwritten them. I knew they were important. And it just felt like a really bad day. D:

That's the way it goes, though; and as far as salvaging things goes, your suggestion is a golden one. Made of purest awesome.

*hearty hearts*
