Are you moving out of the condo or is she moving into it?

I understand your hesitance to invite yourself to places, even when it's a close friend, but as far as asking for specific things, I think that's pretty normal and fair. Having a wishlist for yourself is no different than having a wedding or baby registry.

There are people who prefer to test their knowledge of you and give surprise gifts, but lots of people also like giving gifts they know the recipient will like.

She's moving in. I own it, it's larger, it's closer to work, I have more stuff, the city is walkable...
