Did some mum-suggested homework: What does a regular day look like for you? Need to compare with partner to see what expectations we're holding, where we match up, where we need to negotiate.

that sounds like a good exercise. :) of course my 'ideal day' changes depending on how much time i can get with Dave, and how much work i have to do. :)

More like a "typical day", perhaps? I've left a few places for "either this or that" in, and "X - most days". Also did weekly (D&D, food planning, small adventures), monthly, and yearly (taxes, big adventures).

huh.

you've made me realize i don't have a 'typical' day. my days change SO much depending on how much i work. it's pretty similar for Dave, working seasonally. for us it's become finding time to do stuff we want to do separately and together. though, weirdly, it hasn't caused friction yet. maybe because we still have plenty of time apart with the traveling.

or rather, i should say that our friction came two years ago, when i was trying to get him to adapt to the idea of scheduling time. while he'd still rather have a day without ANYthing scheduled now and again (and we try to find them) he's become a lot better with realizing that more stuff gets done (leading to more leisure time) if errands and such are planned. what sucks now is that he's working 50-60 hours a week.
