In which I invent wildlife

Last night I dreamed that Kathy and I had gone to visit her mother in Florida, and for some reason, we'd taken all the animals with us. She and her mom had kind of semi-ditched me to go sightseeing, and I was stuck watching all the animals... on the beach, for reasons that made sense in the dream

Brown recluse spiders are bad enough, without making them humongous jumpers.

So I determined that I would learn to read in dreams. I have no idea how I managed it, but when I had to read things in dreams from then on, I concentrated on making the letters stand still and recognizing individual words in order. And now I can really-truly read words, numbers, and very short sentences. Larger blocks of text still tend to do the oozy thing, though.

I had never heard that about reading in dreams but that is NIFTY that you taught yourself to do that!

I've had several dreams where I "woke up" and realized what happened before was a dream... only I was still dreaming. It's a weird experience.

That Florida would have a poisonous jumping spider wouldn't surprise me. It has a bunch of hideous creatures. What a dream.

I've unforunately had to make that vet run with a real poisonous critter bite
