So, not-very-briefly:

The trip to Queensland over Easter was great. The weather was crap and some of the roads were scary as hell when combined with heavy rain and my lack of familiarity with them, but I feel like I learned more about my limits and my riding ( Read more... )

You're welcome, didn't quite expect a namedrop though. :)

There have been times where I thought it was scary enough driving at night in wet and fog in an unknown place, and you'll be telling me to toughen up, as I have only driven a car. Like how I tell my Auckland friends to toughen up when they complain it's cold now that I am in Christchurch.

Bonus payments in a recession? Did somebody keep a slush fund or is your company doing very well?

Wet and fog will be scary regardless of car or bike. Just harder on a bike xD

My understanding is that we'll probably miss out on our payrises this year but still get our bonuses, just not as much most likely.
Presumably they've weathered things pretty well with the type of company they are. Our yearly report still sounded promising anyway.
And Australia's been doing pretty good overall too, I think.
