Thanks. The nails on the thumb, index, and middle fingers of my dominant hand have one crushed corner each--on the index finger it ripped well into the quick. I couldn't get a good grip with pliers without damaging my needles in a way that would have caught terribly on the ground fabric. :/ Learned that lesson quickly!

I quite literally feel your pain. I just jabbed myself under the nail with the blunt end of a needle.

Got any good hints for getting blood out of white linen? I bled rather a bit on this project before I noticed I'd done so.
