Martin Donovan would make a pretty good Dr. Strange.

Actually, I'd like to see Liam Neeson play Doctor Strange.

I LOVE Liam Neeson, so I'd be fine with that.

I've heard some people recommend Pierce Brosnan, but I have no idea if he can pull off an American accent.

But right now, my short list is:

1.Martin Donovan, and
2.David Straithairn

The only reason I have Straighthairn as a number two choice is because he's currently 58. I think he would have been perfect a decade ago (around the time of LA Confidential).
