My junior year English class was focused on Latin American/Native American authors (the 11th grade curriculum had American Literature as its English focus) and it was one of my favorite classes. Granted, the school doesn't offer the class anymore (due to no one being available to teach it), but that's beside the point. I wish it still existed. It was a refreshing break from Of Mice and Men and The Great Gatsby (though I do get looks/comments when I reveal I've never read them.)
Back on topic: Fantastic to know that class is now illegal.
